Individual & Family Therapy
These vital sessions help the patient get better control of their recovery while improving their lifestyle.
Mental Health Assessments at RTR
Individual master’s degreed therapists at Road to Recovery Wellness Center conduct a mental health assessment on their first and second sessions with our clients. As part of the assessment, a psycho-social assessment and initial treatment plan take place. Each client is placed at a level of care based on these assessments, a medical/psychiatric evaluation, and a complete nursing evaluation. As part of the treatment plan, each client will include goals in reference to family therapy. With a signed release of confidential information, together the client and therapist will involve significant family members.
Our therapists often work in more than one modality. Some are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Relaxation Therapy, Insight oriented Therapy, Bibliotherapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Couples Therapy, Spiritually-Oriented psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Grief counseling, drama work, narrative therapy, and Analytic Therapy. Each of these therapeutic tools is highly effective in improving each patient’s recovery. These individualized, confidential sessions lead each client towards a road of recovery.
Family therapy is another vital service that we provide. Past trauma, guilt and remorse may stem from family of origin issues. Growing up in a home of addiction or behavior problems may have negatively impacted our clients. Our therapists teach clients ways to arrive at positive resolutions so that the relationships with family members are stabilized. A treatment plan goal may also include family members in order to enhance the support of the patient’s recovery. Family involvement in many cases is encouraged.
