Road To Recovery’s patients benefit from intensive therapeutic approaches based on an individualized treatment plan.
Clinical Adults Program
When a person has an addiction, his/her body develops a physical dependence on the addictive substance. This creates chemical changes within the brain ? changes so profound that attempts to stop ?cold turkey? will not be successful. If you are actively using a substance at the time you elect for treatment, to ensure safety throughout your recovery, it is always recommended that you successfully complete a detoxification program before admitting to a lower level of care. Applicants that are actively using must first go through a separate detoxification program at another facility before entering our program at Road To Recovery.
In our adult program, we use medically and clinically backed evidence-based treatment approaches to initiate recovery for our patients. We use a blended and balanced regimen of psychotherapy groups, trauma-based groups, artistic expression, dual diagnoses, motivational interviewing, underlying issues, childhood trauma, and other approaches in our treatment protocol. ?On a weekly basis, you will meet with master level clinicians, who facilitate individual sessions and try to pinpoint what your next breakthrough may be. You will meet with our medical team to ensure your medications are effective for you. We highly encourage family involvement as statistics show that there?s a better chance of sustained sobriety if a family is supportive of recovery. That?s why we offer family sessions, as well as couples? sessions. We have Marriage and Family Therapists that conduct these sessions.
